Sorry for the ...Great comments from both Steves.

Sorry for the delay in comment-approval. I am supposed to monitor this for Nazaroo and others.
These slipped by me, but should show up now.

mr.scrivenermr.scrivenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10295661257329405324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1422436361758828244.post-85333121749178955202011-04-25T14:04:20.837-04:002011-04-25T14:04:20.837-04:00Hi Steven,

I agree ...Thank you Steven for posting this point.

I agree with you that "legal" (which changes from country to country) is no reliable indicator of appropriate or safe medical treatment.

The dangers of drugs go far beyond mere 'addiction' risks, as you have pointed out with psychedelics and other mood-modifiers that doctors hand out like candy.

Sudden psychotic episodes, brought on by drug prescriptions, are a frightening new danger which puts many innocent people in harm's way besides the drug user.

The attitude of the 1970s is woefully inadequate to prepare Christians and others for handling this social malady (recreational drug abuse).

peace
NazarooNazaroohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03584331774685466296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1422436361758828244.post-45902996130992998742011-04-06T20:47:12.882-04:002011-04-06T20:47:12.882-04:00Hi Folks,
The problem I see with the demarcation ...Hi Folks,

The problem I see with the demarcation line set up by Steve Rafalsky is that it ignores all the mood-altering and mind-numbing drugs that are "legally" prescribed by folks like doctors and psychiatrists.

Why are they absolved from practicing sorcery ? Are not those so drugged often in a fog .. making it very difficult to call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ ?

And when you read the articles about the killers who snapped .. when you get to the back pages .. this "legal" drug use will frequently be referenced.

What Robert Mendelsohn wrote in "Confession of a Medical Heretic" about the sacraments of the doctor-priests and their temples of doom reflected a spiritual reality.

Ironically, the non-Christian saw the spiritual reality clearer than most Christian believers.

By just focusing on the psychedelics (and yes, I am familiar with their pitfalls, with deliverance decades back -- by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ)... I believe much of the problem of modern drug sorcery is bypassed.

Shalom,
Steven AverySteven Averyhttp://purebible.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
